Welcome Happy Morning - Age to Age shall say Hell today is vanquished Heaven is Won today!
So go the words to an old Gospel hymn that expresses wonderfully the victory that Christ has won. God has fulfilled the promise that the “seed of woman” would crush Satan’s head. That promise made in the Garden of Eden points us to the Garden of Gethsemane when Jesus prayed, “If it be possible let this cup pass from me. Nevertheless not my will but Thine be done.”
By doing the will of the Father, Jesus procured the way for us to lead a life of victory. That victory begins by dying to self. Apostle Paul says in Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live but Christ lives in me.”
Beloved, as we move toward the cross of Calvary, hear Christ’s call to die to self. Only by dying to self and praying “not my will but Thine be done” will we fully experience the joy of resurrection living. He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed! Let us live as witnesses of that wonderful news.
