Goodbye from your CARES Director

November 2006 was my final month as CARES director. I have enjoyed the past year more than I would have imagined, but it is time to pass the torch to Shona Goodness-Miller, a Cohoes mother and teacher with a real passion for education. Shona has been serving as president of our CARES advisory board, and brings many administrative skills along with her love of children and learning. Stop by and welcome her when you get a chance! I will miss the wonderful students and dedicated tutors at our center, and hope to be called on as a writing specialist from time to time as the need arises. May God bless all of you as we work toward academic and character success for all children!

CARES opens for the 2006-2007 school year!

Monday, September 25th will be the first day of CARES for the new school year! Students in grades 1-5 are welcome to stop by with their parents at 3:00 to register for our great after-school tutoring and mentoring program.
